Oh, what a relief! Now you know, what BSB is all about, and it's good to hear that you like it.

Yeah, I've got some other blue samples to try, but I may wind up getting myself a bigger bottle of this.

Until you ink a pen, it is merely a pretty stick. --UK Mike

I thought I'd give this older post on Noodler's Baystate Blue, which seems to be the definitive review, a shot for a question rather than a new post on an old topic.

I like the blues but I am not an ink guy. I try to collect primarily representative samples of Pelikan/Pelikano and other black German pen brands from the 50's - 60's. I have Pelikan Koenigs Blau and a blue/black, a straight-leg blue. and a very nice Holy Mackeral Sapphire Blue.

I gather from the above observations that it is probably a good idea to have a dedicated pen for the Baystate saturated blue.

I have just ordered a Jinhao 450 for 74¢ including shipping. Before I order a bottle (probably the 3oz size) of Baystate Blue:

• Do you inksters think that this will be a good working combination?

(at 74¢, I'm not too concerned if the pen isn't the right one, or staining, if it is)

and the answer to the question above with info garnered from a separate post and my own experience is YES IT WILL WORK JUST FINE!

Hi, I am doctor and also a fountain pen lover. So my priority is having a permanent ink as to write on case paper and prescriptions. And other practical point is, I dont want to keep on capping and uncapping my pen. I love writing unposted. So only option for pen is Pilot Vanishing Point(PVP) for its click mechanism ( just like ball-point) So all well. But the problem is JUST LOVE Noodlers' Baystate Blue(BSB), for both its water proofing and the vibrancy. I know its dangers. As of now using BSB without any problems in Pilot Metropolitan for 2 months. But seriously want to shift to PVP, for its practical purpose for me.

SO the big question is should I use BSB in PVP?

So I request the community to throw some light on it. Does anyone has any personal experience in this combination?

Regards,

Dr. Vikas

I wouldn't dare.

Still missing the "White Stripe" MYU and black brother MYU with transparent section!

(Has somebody a "Murex" with a working clock?

(Thanks to Steve I found the "Black Stripe Capless" and the "White Stripe Capless")

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
