Anyone tried Noodler's Dragon's Napalm yet?

I ordered me a bottle but it'll be a while until it comes in. I was just wondering if anyone's tried this out yet - haven't seen any reviews.

Mine's on the way, ordered last week.

I saw a bottle at a friend of mine's last week and it's very much like the Mercurochrome stuff that Nathan wanted to emulate. Someone somewhere said that Dragon's Napalm was the same as Nikita, but permanent? Wrong. The two inks are very different, the Nikita being a very nice, true red with few orange or pink overtones. The DN has the same orangy overtones like Mercurochrome.

I've been using this for a month or two, and like it. I would prefer that it were a little more orange than the peachy color it is on paper, but it is a great accent ink. Here is my post from when I first received the ink.

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

I think the next step is for some brave soul to apply this to their next cut or scrape! LOL!

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

What are people experiencing in terms of texture with Dragon's Napalm?

I tried some in a stiff medium-fine Hero nib and it felt drier and "rougher" than other inks (I frequent the Private Reserve, Waterman, and Levenger ink spectra). I wasn't sure whether this was the result of the nib, the paper, possible dilution from rinsewater in the sac, or the ink itself.

I like Dragon's Napalm for highlighting, in a Preppy highlighter. I prefer it to Year of the Golden Pig, though that's nice too.

I also keep a Preppy FP filled with Napalm.

It does look like mercurachrome; the bottle needs a glass applicator rod.

I found that Napalm is a different color from Nikita.

Nice idea about trying those for highlighters. I'll have to get some more Preppies.

I have it and really like it. I think is needs a wet and wide nib for ultimate effect. It looks great coming out of my red Lamy Safari with a 1.1 italic nib.
