Hi all, hope I'm not being rude adding to this thread..But i bought a cheap fountain pen in Waitrose..I was doing a search on cheap pens and this thread came up...I paid £2.80..

Might be worth checking out, i don't know enough to do a review..

Pretty smooth body which i prefer, with just a slight lip on the silver ring, medium nib...

Sorry for quality of pic's...I have no connection with the company, just thought someone might be interested..

Andy

PS if ur interested in doing a review Gary i could mail it to u, after all its only 250 :ltcapd:

Morrison's do a fountain pen, 'eraser' pen, and a couple of international cartridge for 75 pence. The small difference in price between the tesco and morrison's must go a long way, because the morrison's pen is basically unusable. It's a snap cap with no inner cap, so is always dried out.

Gosh! He got so angry at the pen, he stabbed it!

There is an updated demonstrator version of this pen that costs only 70p (approx $1.15) with two Int. Std. Cartridges included!

It is available in Turquoise, Pink and Green (Green is shown below).

Bought this for a laugh really but surprisingly it isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

But for the plastic, that looks exactly like the house brand pens sold in Daiso stores here.

It's the black pen in the pictures in my blog post --

That actually really looks like the Woolworth's "Worth It" pen. The telltale design of the clip sparks it for me.

:vbg: I wasn't angry, it was all in the interests of science. Being so cheap and transparent, I could see how various cutting methods stressed the plastic, before cutting a blind cap on a more desirable pen.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
