I assume that 'Pink Quink' must be long discontinued?-interesting colour but not quite my taste.

 

I'm also intrigued by Lamy Purple-didn't know they made one.

Very interesting. I wasn't aware that Parker had issued any new colors for Quink. Thanks for the review. What are the other new Quink colors?

 

I'm a fan of Diamine Claret. Lamy purple looks interesting as well.

This pink is not discontinued, it's new & in mini-cartridges only from what I can see, and I don't think it's available in the USA.

Thanks Ann. I'll keep an eye open for the new colors. Perhaps Office Depot or Staples will have them.

Yuck! Please excuse the spelling errors in the writing; it doesn't come naturally to me, and when I am tired (as I was last night) my spelling goes to pot.

 

@Rasendyll: Lamy Purple is a lovely colour that flows really well in my wife's Lamy Safari with MK nib. It is fairly easy to get hold of in cartridges in the UK and isn't available in bottles AFAIK.

Interesting-thanks for the information...Does anyone know which pens do the mini-cartridges fit? Are they for the new short duofold etc?

Lamy calls it Violet, at least in their website right now. According to somebody at The Writing Desk Lamy Violet looks just like Pelikan 4001 Violet. It is true that Lamy Violet is available only in proprietary Lamy cartridges, but that Pelikan 4001 Violet is also available in bottles.

Correct, Lamy Violet (cartridge-only) is virtually identical to Pelikan 4001 violet. We had several requests asking what ink had been used to sign some documents (it was Lamy violet in a Lamy Vista) that we did some comparisons.

It's like a medium, but with a rounder, ball-shaped tip. It's designed particularly for beginners.

Beginner writers or people that are used to writing with a ball-point. It is less particular and more forgiving about angle and grip than some nibs.

I'm new to the forums and posted a question in another topic area about Parker Quink Cartridge colour equivalents in bottles (I prefer to use bottled inks).

 

Seeing this discussion, I wondered has anyone on this thread found a pink colour close to the Parker Quink one? Probably J Herbin or Diamine...
