Wow, those are gorgeous....I especially like the red and black Herald. I might have to pick one up in the future.

 

Any idea when the sterling clips might be ready? I'm not a big fan of gold trim.

 

Also, you say these are LE pens...are they limited by number or by how long you'll be producing them? Any clue when production might end on the Heralds?

for some reason, i remember the herald's listed at $160

...now they're listed as $165.

Will there ever be a modern ebonite pen that fits the hands of those of us who like M200-M600 size? Everything I've seen (other than the Indian EDs one hears about now and then) seems to be huge.

 

I'd be very interested if you plan on making such a pen, Brian.

The jeweler that I'm working with recently disappointed me, as he really hasn't made any progress. I'm looking for other sources. Anyone buying a Herald today will receive a clip upgrade when I get them. Same goes for current Herald owners.

 

The name Limited Edition is really just to distingiush my recent designs from my standard pens. I apologize, as this is a misnomer. There will be no limited numbers to these pens.

 

I'm about to revamp a few things at the website, and changing that will be one of many things. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Yes. I brought all ebonite pens up by $5. I realized that I really was losing money on my ebonite. I brought the price up to cover my material cost.

I'm not sure if that's ideal. Let me know what you think about snap caps.

But yes, that is my next design. Smaller in diameter.

Really good job on the pen. There are many pen crafter out there, Brian is one of them who relly is a craftsmen. His work is very good but his attention to detail is the tops. As he said very few pen crafters either take the time or have the knowledge to know what a ok nib vs a great nib. They generally find out afterwards.

Thank you for the reply and information - seeing you on here posting means a lot, IMO.

 

Whew, that's a relief - I'll likely wait until early next year, in that case. But I'm looking forward to picking one up!

I'm not picky about snap or threaded caps. Most of my pens are threaded but that's just because most of my pens are Pelikans.

 

Do keep us/me updated on this project when you get to it. I have always wanted an ebonite pen (would really prefer an ED but don't know what your feelings are on that) but they tend to be fatter than an M600 which is just too fatiguing for me.
