With a broad nib, it has a very deep red color. WIth a medium or fine, the color is more vivid. I am sure you will enjoy it in any pen you use!!!

Well,, the reddest in-your-face red I have currently, is Swisher Intense Red, one of their fast dry inks. It is so bright red, it seems to levitate up from the paper. I have used Waterman Red, Vespucci Red, and a large number of reddish and orange inks, and I can assure you this is a blazingly glorious true red. It almost hurts the eyes.

 

If I can find a few spare minutes this week, I'll try to scan a sample or 2 for you.

Just saw the post...

Omas Vespucci Red is, in the minds of many, the red by which all others are judged. It's a real red, deep and intense, serious, not Christmasy or orange, or yellow or brown. It flows really well.

It comes in a big bottle which is good for grading years of papers.

Unfortunately it's discontinued. I have a couple of bottles, one of which is actually on hold. I may be able to pick up another one in a small pen shop here in Italy.

I actually know educators who use it.

From what I've seen, Fiesta Red would be the next choice.

All this information on red inks and what do I do? I go and decide to use Noodler's Apache Sunset. [teehee

 

I can't help it, that color is gorgeous! I love the way that, although it lays down quite yellow, the color warms into hues of autumnal burnt orange, right there on the page as I watch.

 

So, instead of "redit", the mot du jour is "sunsedit".
