I was sort of thinking the same thing.  Especially after the local website that lists estate sales in SW PA posted a listing a couple of days ago from something called "April First Liquidations"....    And the weirdest thing (at least to me) about the so-called "listing" is that fountain pens were included in the huge paragraph of what was (allegedly) available....

Of course, this so called journal thing is making me think that if it WAS real, it probably wasn't sturdily enough constructed and I was just *betting* that the elastic band was there for a REASON -- I can't imagine the front cover not coming off at some point (especially after I've had it happen to REAL books, including our hardbound edition of The Joy of Cooking, which I picked up at IIRC some estate sale years and years ago, which is a slightly different edition from my old paperback copy, so some of the recipes are different).

I do have a blank 500 page ledger/journal, but nothing like 1,000+ pages.

That would probably hold most of my puns... if I ever decided to write them down.

I asked Gemini if there are notebooks with 1000+:

Amazon has a number of very thick notebooks for small amount of money, like $17 or so.
