Wexford Made in Vietnam Writing Tablet at Walgreens

I was picking up over the counter medication the other day, and made my way to the register via the stationery aisle. I found a package of A5 paper that reminded me of the legal pads that I used to write on in school- bright white, doesn’t seem to feather to my admittedly terrible eyes, and shows off ink properties. Until recently, I had plenty of old class notes and Waterman Florida Blue sheened red still, and Pelikan/Cross Blue Black shaded on my beloved old Office Depot letter sized pads. I’m glad to find something similar- check it out:

Here’s a natural light photo: you can see the base ink colors really well. No feathering that I can see; please point it out if you see any.

Under my gooseneck lamp, I think it’s fluorescent light. Paper looks warmer, but sheen shows up well in Sheen Machine 2 and Dominant Blue.

The shading is is lovely:

The different types of shimmer I use all showed nicely:

The FrankenSonnet is a metal pen that a friend from my pen club put together. It’s heavy, torched like a Fireblue Liliput, and has a steel Sonnet fine nib that writes like a medium (I might need to try another ink).

Dominant Blue in the T1 is beautiful. I love that nib. It feels like a soft gold nib. I got really lucky with my purchase.
