Which pen for the Fpr ultra flex nib?

I have an extra fine 5.5 Fpr ultra flex nib that I'm trying to use with a Twsbi 580 pen, with the original plastic feed. I love how it draws, but it is unusable as the fit/flow doesn't seem to work and I'm getting ink flooding constantly.

I've tried resetting the nib and feed multiple times with no luck. I read that people have good results with this combination, but I can't do it.

I also have the ebonite feed for this nib from Fpr, but it doesn't really fit the 580. So any suggestions/ experience for another pen that can give good results with the combo of Fpr nib and feed?

What about one of Fountain Pen Revolution's own pens? Best I remember, their pens were designed for the nibs in their various nib units. And the owners are fine people.

They are in the US and i am in Europe so there's customs involved.

Ah. That's a problem. I don't know much about customs duties these days. How much was it to buy your ultra flex nib? Buying an FPR pen might still be the easiest thing. Amazon sells FPR pens, but at nearly twice the price that FPR charges.

Unless someone knows a European pen that takes an FPR nib unit, paying cutoms duties might be the only way to get a pen compatible with an FPR nib.

Isn’t the TWSBI 580 nib a Jowo/Bock size 6?

I think the 5.5 is smaller. It would fit something like the Jinhao 82 I think.

If you have access to Noodler pens, I think it will fit in the Nib Creeper - costs below $20 here in the USA.
