Cartier Vendome fountain pen question

This is certainly an obscure pen, though very classy.  The pen is rectangular which means the cartridge is also.  Incidentally, the cartridges appear near impossible to locate.  But I digress.  I however am u proud owner of both a fountain pen and one good cartridge.  My question is probably limited to those who have a Cartier Vendome. You insert the cartridge into the sleeve, which is dropped into the barrel to engage the nib/feed.  The cartridge is then punctured so the ink can flow to feed.  However there is space in the sleeve so there is nothing to snug the cartridge in place so it will be punctured.  Question: am I missing a piece to snug the cartridge?  Respectfully, I'll be amazed, and grateful if there are any replies.  Even if it's just to say,  "yeah that's been driving me crazy too! "

I think that the cartridge is very hard to find.

In terms of making the cartridge snug when in place, I would be tempted to make something out of wood and cut to the length you want.

I have had good experience with visiting Cartier, Dunhill and Tiffany, all of them were very helpful when I visited the store and asked, 'can you help me?'

Dress smart if you visit, no point turning up looking like you have just been digging up potatoes.

eta, I have found an ebay seller
