I have used Levenger's Notabilia journals since about 2000. They handle most inks, although I avoid Noodlers inks, which seem unpredictable. Have never found an Organic Studio ink I liked enough to use. (My steady inks are Parker Penman Sapphire and Scribe Indigo, Pilot Asa-Gao, various old Private Reserve inks, and "vintage" Parker (with Solv-X) and Sheaffer's inks.

I use a pretty wide range if Noodler's inks, though never Baystate Blue, and have have had generally good luck with Life stationery and Apica too. The paper is usually less of a problem than maintaining the pen...BSB is notorious for staining barrels and adverse effects on feeds or so I've read. YMMV

I really like Yamamoto Canopus, Midori, and MUJI Double Wire and High Quality (not recycled, planting tree, or planted tree) notebooks for high sheen inks like Organic Studios. I don’t really use Noodler’s, so I don’t know how they show on paper, but these papers can handle wet inks and show off ink properties like shading, chroma shading, and sheen. Shimmer also looks spectacular on them. I personally think Apica is great in terms of no feathering, but ink effects are heavily muted or invisible. It’s good for standard inks.

ETA: I have photos in my gallery of paper samples showing how the different papers show off ink properties. If you’d like, I can post them here.

I’m particularly fond of Mnemosyne and Apica CD notebooks.   Mnemosyne for work and Apica for journaling.
