Seems Indy Pen Dance Is No Longer There

Does anyone have any information on Indy Pen Dance and their business status? I hope all is going well with them.

I placed an order with them on July 22, 2025. I have not received the order. They don't give out an email address so the only way to contact them is via email on their site. I have done so three times and still have no reply.

If anybody knows what the problem is I'd appreciate knowing so I can decide to wait or refer this to my bank.

Thanks,

Rick

They're in business.  I saw them at the  Ohio show earlier this month.  There should be a phone number on their website.    The contact through a form on the website is typical today, otherwise you are forever fighting spam.

They no longer list a phone number and state that they prefer all communication to be email, beginning with the form on the site. The website looks recently updated, different than before.

Since most of my interactions with them are in person at shows (most recently OPS a few weekends ago) it didn't occur to me that they actually HAD a website....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Based on my own business dealings with them communication is not their strong suit.  Keep trying.

In all fairness, it may not be their problem at all.  We have a whole list of clients who's hosting services have decided to block us.   Smaller systems tend to do that, and it certainly complicates things.

Thanks for the help to all.

I checked their site for a phone number and found none.

I just checked my ISP webmail for spam and they have not captured any.

I've bought from them before and received the item in a week. I got no communication from them though.

I place the current order in July 2025. My credit card was charged and processed so they were paid for the order.

I wait a few more days to see if they get my last message through their site.

Thanks,

Rick

This is not a comment on delays or lack of communication.

Instead, consider the following.

The company is on the internet.

Its location (city and state) is on the internet.

Maybe its owners are on the internet?

With those datapoints, doesn’t it seem that contact information is somewhere on the internet?

Edit-having purchased, before you have/had a mailing address already.

I have to report that I had a great conversation with Linda at the Chicago Pen Show and left a Christian Olsen Vacumatic with her to have the nib replaced.  I received an email invoice from Mike at the beginning of June and paid it promptly.  Since then, nothing.  I have emailed Mike, both from the website and to the address the invoice came from. No response, no pen.  I don't know what to do.

Just to wrap this up, I received the package today about an hour after I entered a claim with my bank.

An email address was suggested, which I used, but the email was kicked back to me.

I did cancel the claim with the bank as soon as I received the order.

Thanks all,

  Rick

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
