There is a new Kaweco pen in the market: The Piston AL FP in Solo Navy. The pen is a very nice one, but the price is more or less double that of the Piston fill Classic Sport in black.  The pens are made of different materials; are the other parts similar? Is the performance the same? Does anyone know if the Classic version will be produced in other colours? Thanks for your comments.

I have the piston filler AL Sport in navy and it’s a beautiful little pen. You can get the black AL version for less money. I think the aluminum body gives it a nice weight in the hand that compensates for its small size. I’ve traveled with it and don’t regret buying it.

I have a feeling prices might go down as I’m thinking this pen is not produced in Germany (although the nib certainly is).

I just bought the AL Sport in Navy!  I used to have about 9 Kaweco Sports, including a Piston Filler, a bunch of classics, a couple ALs, and also a Dia2, but eliminated all of them over the last 2 months and decided I just needed the one.  Really looking forward to getting it as it's very nice looking.
