An alternative explanation for TRP52 “bad batch”. Pure supposition 🤔
I think the TRP Hobonichi problem was due to the weight being reduced to 47gsm as presented on specs at their site. This is just an opinion. You didn’t see any complaints turned viral from other notebook brands.

so the “bad batch” was related to a new TRP paper and not the TRP52. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

There were other brands that used the bad batch. Sterling Inks is one that I have seen mentioned.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 20 currently inked pens:

Sheaffer 100 Satin Blue M, Pelikan Moonstone/holographic mica

Parker T1, Dominant Industry Dominant Blue

Pilot Custom 743 <FA>, Oblation Sitka Spruce

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

Waterman 52 EF, Herbin Bleu Pervenche

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Ok, I stand corrected! I have a Sterling b5 common planner, lucky no problems with mine 😐 Until now!

Thanks.
