Demonstrator

Recommended Posts

So, I was immediately drawn to and have immensely enjoyed using the Pilot Custom 823. This led me to purchase the Asvine v200, which I've been using quite frequently over the last month. This has initiated a bit of an obsession now. I just purchased a Wing Sung 699, a Nahvalur Original Plus, and a Asvine v126, all of which are demonstrators and vacuum fillers. I might have a problem. 😆

Pilot Custom 823 ... Wing Sung 699

There was a time when I had an 823 and a 699. The price difference didn't show. I kept the 699 and sold the Pilot.

But keep in mind, the 699 nib is quite stiff.

It seems to start that way.  I could never figure what the appeal was to some of these pens, especially the super clear acrylics that are as transparent as glass so all that ink is sloshing around in there all over the place.  It's like an inkcident in a slender bottle you take with you everywhere you go.  It does make for some interesting show and tell.  Eventually, the novelty wore off and I started to like the idea.  Then I liked it some more.  That's why I now have cases of assorted demonstrators to go with assorted acrylics and assorted ebonites and other assorted...you get the idea.

I swap Pilot 74 B nib to Wingsung 699. There suddenly gone the desire of another pen.
