Any info on the upcoming Asvine C80?

A short while back I saw a vdeio with a sneak peek at a new pen by Asvince, the C80. It was in a video by chrisrap52.

The three colors look quite nice, have a no. 8 nib and they are offering it in a 1.1 stub (which is my favorite style nib).

Anybody have further information, especially price and when they should be released? Thanks.

I managed to get the Fuliwen 017 (blue & black) for just under $30, but now most AliX stores are asking $50! One store was $35. I imagine Asvine’s C80 will be quite competitive. I’ll be in line for one in gold & black, with that nice stub. I’ve already experienced the stub on the C2000 and it’s great.

interestingly, the C2000 that disappeared from the regular platforms, including AliX. The only sign of it are those cap plugs to stop the drying (it worked for me) on Amazon.

The Asvine shop on Amazon has 6 colors, $25.80 - $28.50 plus $4 shipping.

That’s not showing up for me at all—have I exceeded my daily limit? Are they cutting me off? 😓

No, nothing.

Asvine alix release is usually earlier than China domastic release. C2000 Wood never release in China inland.

I dare to speculate: since China inland consumer protection is strick, any quality defects ends up return + refund, all cost on sellers. Thus, sellers tends to sell things with the lowest possible quality defects. The leaking c2000 cap will get returned definitely. Selling C2000 is suicidal for any shop.

But the story is completely different on Alix or Etsy or Temu or whatever.

I stumbled across this listing on Amazon, but it's currently unavailable. Perhaps soon...

I'm looking forward to purchasing one in a stub nib. Not sure which color though. They look really nice though.

Interesting! If the photo is accurate, it looks like Asvine may be using a different resin than the similar Fuliwen 017, which also has a brown/black and a blue/black colorway, among many other colorways. I have the 017 in blue/black and it’s very handsome.

There’s one seller on Amazon UK with a few colours in fine and extra fine, just appeared today. One colour is sold out already.

in looking for this, I also came across an ebonite c2000 with stub nib on AliX, so ordered one of those as well.

I’m still hoping the C80 will appear with the stub at some point…

The prices seem very fair. (26 Euros)

I'm loving the Galaxy Blue and Brown Gold and I could see myself getting a Purple Ripple.

C'mon Asvine! Get listing in the US please!

All colours in all nib sizes available on Amazon UK now, including stub.

And in the US as well—all nibs the same price. $28 shipped. I picked what they are calling ‘light blue glitter’ but it’s got other colors and glitter galore. Extra Fine nib since I’ve got two stubs on the C2000s.

Have you had good experience with the Asvine stub nibs? I use Lamy 1.1 nibs and Pilot Prera CM nibs often. I'm looking forward to trying them out next to each other.

The stub is pretty stiff for the asvine.

The one stub I have on a C2000 isn’t at all stiff. It’s quite bouncy, and will even give a little line variation with light pressure. I guess it comes down to luck with individual nibs…

My #8 stub on the Asvine 2000 is stiff, so I ordered the C80 with a fine nib, which arrived today.  Fun colors, lots of glitter.  My only complaint so far is that one area on both the cap & body, which do not line up, is missing color.  Just white & glitter.  This is not unusual for Chinese pens, but I don't like it.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
