These photos are from the old Pali road on the windward side of Oahu.  My wife stopped and painted the view of Olomana and I messed around with my camera and a new pen.  There's always a risk of doing these outdoor shots.  I've had some scratches and dings but haven't lost one yet...

I've never been to Hawaii, but I have some cousins that live there -- none of whom I've actually ever met -- on that side of the family I've only met a couple of them (one used to live in Boston, and the other was in American Samoa, where my aunt on that side was from, and I may be closer in age to his kids than to him; I'm pretty sure I'm closer in age to one of their sister's kids (the one who lives in San Diego).

Thanks Ruth.  Hawaii has amazing mountains and unreal ocean activities.  If either of those things appeal to you then it would be worth a visit.
