Exception

I inked my Exception a few days ago. I hadn't used it in years,  and I was really excited about it.  Unfortunately,  it has not been behaving. It is skipping more often than not. It is going to get a very thorough cleaning,  and I'll try again.  😔

Did it work ?

I have a Exception L’Essence du Bleu in medium that writes no mater what, or how long I don’t use it for- flawless.

I also have an Exception Reflections of Paris, that has been to Waterman 3 times under warranty, began its life as a medium , is now a broad (waterman replaced the nib from M to L on try number 3) and then I had a renowned Nibmeister take a look. That pen is the most temperamental piece of equipment I have ever dealt with. I love it , but it’s a handful.  I think something about that pens aesthetics illicit a type of  unconscious response that result in me writing in a different way.

Yes and no. I cleaned the pen really well, and then, because the Exception had irked me, I put it back in the display case and inked my Amber Carene. 😁😁

My Exceptions are very reliable.  If you have not already, can I suggest that you give the nib/ section a soak in water with some dishwashing detergent in?
