Pelikans are always a good choice. But there are others, too. Namely the blue striped Eversharp Skylines, for example.

@PennyTheDog -- I'd been lusting over a Studio.  But over Christmas, when we were visiting my sister-in-law and her husband in NYC, I went down to the Lamy SoHo store and tried one, and sadly, it was just a bit on the heavy side for me....  So I had to just settle for the Harry Potter "Ravenclaw" al-Star instead....

Is the left one a Tibaldi? Or maybe both? The shape looks very similar, but the blue acrylic on the left rings a bell...

They are both Leonardos. The left one is a Momento Zero Grande 2.0 in Dark Hawaii. The right one is a Momento Magico Pithacusa.

Ah, thank you. The Dark Hawaii is a little beauty I would welcome in my little accumulation of pens any time.

You’re right, it is heavy! I was surprised by that when I first picked it up. It has to be my heaviest pen. I don’t mind that though; it just feels like part of its character.

The Pithacusa maybe does not photograph well, but the resin is beautiful when you rotate the pen in your hand.

I can imagine that. But for some reason I always feel drawn towards striped things. 😄

Thanks, bought it as a remembrance for someone who gave me a nice cheque from his will.
