I have one blue fountain pen - a Sailor 1911 Stormy Sea. I’d like to add another blue pen to my collection. What are the most beautiful (affordable) blue fountain pens you have owned?

Current lineup:

Montblanc 146

Pelikan m800

Pilot 743

I’ve really been into the monochrome blue pens that have been released by Parker, Sheaffer, Cross, and Diplomat. These are the IM Monochrome Blue, 100 Satin Blue, ATX, qnd Viper respectively. They range from $50-100.

If you want another Sailor, the Profit Light in Shining Blue is often sold on Amazon for $58 or so.

The Lamy AL-Star in Pacific Blue is pretty affordable.

Oh,  have a thread on here- Blue Pen Club, it’s full of pictures.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 20 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc Noblesse M, MontBlanc Midnight Blue (IG)

MontBlanc for BMW Starwalker IM, mystery grey ink left in converter

Pelikan M400 Blue striped OM, Troublemaker Abalone

Pilot Custom 743 <FA>, Oblation Sitka Spruce

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

I have a dark blue Lamy Safari, Dark Sapphire TWSBI Eco, and a Jinhao 9019 that is so dark blue it looks black in most light. I am going to buy (on order) a matte darkblue with matte black trim Pilot Vanishing Point with a Stub nib.

Not solid blue, but the Leonardo Momento Magico Pithecusa.

Or another beautiful Leonardo, the Momento Zero Grande Dark Hawaii (more expensive).

affordable

What does that mean? I know people for which $50 is not affordable and others for whom $5k is affordable.

Without a price range, it is difficult to give you an advice.

New models or vintage?

Dark blue or light blue?

Marble or unicolor?

Below is a 1942 Parker in blue. I also have the Lamy Pacific blue one that was introduced in 2017.
