The barrel material on the Kullock 45 is really pretty, @Sailor Kenshin. The Moonman color makes sense, it fits into the overall color scheme of the line really well. I have a couple of the Arrow style ones.

Here’s my growing collection of Parker 45 pens. The first one I had was the grey, the latest the lighter of the turquoise ones (the other two may be teal). The first picture is kind of dark so that the turquoise CT doesn’t look lighter than in person. The Slimfold is along for the ride. The second photo shows the other colors a bit better, but then the turquoise looks lighter than it should.

Like my Pelikans, they bred quickly after decades of being a lone specimen. I was busy chasing other pens and circled back around.

I have one Accounting nib, 4 Octanium Fine, 1 gold Fine, 2 gold Medium (one from Brazil, one English), and 1 Octanium Medium. I should look for some loose italic nibs.

I have been on the hunt for some of the happy colors, particularly pink or yellow, but have had no luck as of yet.

Sigh....  I just looked those color 45s up online.  And yeah, I'd love to find a pink one someday for something faintly resembling an affordable price....

Affordable has a few meanings.

What constitutes affordable?  60% of retail?

"Affordable" means "not costing an arm and a leg and maybe another arm" -- especially when we have other upcoming expenses (groceries, utility bills, income taxes, property and school taxes, car repairs, etc.); and of course, we were given misinformation when getting an estimate on having the driveway replaced and ended up having to have a retaining wall put in on the upper side of the driveway -- basically DOUBLING the original quoted price....   Followed shortly thereafter from getting the front bumpers fixed on BOTH vehicles (we didn't want to do the repairs on them until the new driveway and the retaining wall were finished).

edited for typos

Hi IThinkIHaveAProblem,

Thank you for sharing this, very helpful! I bought a lot of fountain pens and this Parker 45 (black) with gold nib was a part of it. Thought this was not correct, but seeing the ad it could be correct?

On the cap and the gold nib has made in France on it.

Hi !

My sincere apologies for asking this very belated question.

Does your PARKER 45 made in France have a "45" engraved on the cap?

I previously discussed the French PARKER 45 in another thread on this forum, and the caps of the OP's two 45 custom fountain pens in that thread did not have "45" or other engraving on them.

My French 45 flighter , which I have since acquired, also has no "45" engraving on the cap...

I am very curious about that as I have yet to see a French PARKER 45 cap with a "45" engraving on the cap.

Not shown, as I obtained it later than when this photo was taken, is the Harlequin Black Circlet, which I purchased on eBay.
