Hi. I went for a couple of hours. It was nice to meet many of the pen makers. I tried out many nibs at the Kanwrite stall. I particularly liked their soft titanium nibs. Really lovely. Then moved to see Mr Subbu from Asa. They had a really good collection. Lotus was surprisingly having many pens in the budget range. Less than 6000!.

Spent most of my time with Ranga and particularly with Mr pandurangan. Asked him many questions regarding pen making, how he learnt his skills, what are the challenges, why not many youngsters are into pen making etc. Then purchased a bamboo pen which is one of my favourite models from them. Had warm exchanges with Mr kandan and his sister.

Then interacted and engaged with many new comers by telling them about pen material, nib sizes etc. Had a really nice time

Great, nice to learn to adjust, turning and grind the nibs. Got good samples of Endless inks need to try. Started experiment with my cheap pens on tuning. #fingerscrossed. :)

I enjoyed and went two or three times. Subbu Anna (ASA) had some very beautiful lacquer coated pens.

Few novel items were

1) The retracting nib model from endless inspired from pilot VP

2) buffallo horn material for the pen- Kandan of Ranga pens

3) the 3 D printed pens- had some beautiful swirl patterns in the ED acrylic pens.

While i felt the crowd was packed, the penmakers felt that the crowd was lesser than last year.

I was deciding between Lotus college and Click Yen pen. But finally decided to by Lotus college- red sandal wood pen. Unfortunately, in my pensive mood to decide Arun ji had sold the last piece.  I have ordered the same and expecting it eagerly.
