 No green squirrels were harmed in the making of this episode.

Aaaahh, good to know! Thank you! 👍

Today, I like to reply in A. Schwarzenegger movie style (be aware of the exclamation marks):

Voltaire is a prophet!

Klaw is void master!!

Unhealthy glitter in fountain pens - grrr!!

There shall not be another black besides Shogun!!

Get the Green Squirrel out here!!!

When all black is consumed, the world is free!!!!

Enough talked, learn the alphabet with Arnold!

Thank you, @LizEF, for the review, for the story part (for letting us hanging on the cliff) and for your effort in trying to use glitter ink in fountain pens with EF nib.

Looking forward to releasing the grip from the cliff. ;) :)

One life!

I use a Moonman that has a set of EF-B glass nibs, but I find myself using the Hocoro fude more for the line variation. For swatches I previously used a brush for the swatch with the glass nibs for the writing, but the fude does the job of both. I don’t find either one difficult to clean at all.

O noz!  Nao I haz 2 lk 4 dis Moonman!

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Definitely. The mica I normally use is practically eyeshadow. The two most recent ones are jagged, larger pieces that are really reflective. They definitely look like they’re very different.

Interesting. :)  Thanks for the confirmation.  I'm sure the differences are some combination of design and science. :D

I could make a better behaved version using a black ink and one of the commercial shimmer additives I’ve on hand.

Can you tell me where you find these?  I have a friend who wants a green ink with blue shimmer and I can't think of any such ink.

I may not be @Penguincollector, but I've used Pearl-Ex (or Pearl-X?), an artist pigment that even comes in interference colors.

Thanks!  What are "interference colors"?

Quote

Interference colors are colors that change depending on the angle of view. They can appear transparent or iridescent, and can create a three-dimensional effect.

Thanks, google! :D

I went looking and I came up with nothing for a green ink with blue shimmer. For shimmer additives made especially for fountain pen ink, I use either Wearingeul Glitter Potions (bought from Dromgooles and Vanness), which comes in light blue (Frost), or Pennonia Csillám, which comes in several different shades of blue. Endless Pens has them in stock in the US, Cult Pens in the UK. I have used different brands of mica, but have only used them in cheap pens and once in a Pilot Lucina F.

I found Robert Oster Crystal Marine.  Seems that will do, but I wanted to pass along the shimmer sources anyway.  I've forwarded your and Sailor's sources, so now my friend can decide for himself whether to try any of them. :)   Thanks!

That Crystal Marine is very pretty! Hope he finds the color he’s looking for.

InkVent 'chameleon' inks are made with such pigments, I suspect.
