Another hello to the Fountain Pen Network...

Good morning from a cold and high up section of the Right Coast of the USA.

 

I was/am a member of Fountaain Pen Network, this account shows 2018 was my acceptance year. Some very tragic and great changes in my life, mostly health things. And one of the changes in my life has been fountain pens and re-remembering i am a member here.

 

I may have tapped out a "i am back" thread but my quick look and and search didn't find one. I have had some excitement or energy so my looking was quick and not accurate, here i am now saying hello again.

 

I have been re-remembering things in my life and FPN is one of them. But this might be a second account i created. I am still trying to see if i had or have another account. I have 3 sort of screennames since i started my interneting in the 90s so that will be my 1st step.

 

I have been recognizing some of your FPN screennames mostly pleasantly. And i hope to be more or better at my replies in threads. Also i am open to anything people wast to say, ask or comment about. So if any of you want to do those things now or anytime let me have it.

 

Oh the Pony is coming now to pick me up to take me for my bloodwork to be done. I will be back later...

mostly a thinking and calming atmosphere on here

 

i'm up to 4600 posts with only 1 or 2 mod chastisements, not like sports or religion or rock music forums with more strident thoughts and 7 bans for life

I know this is a calm forum and every member treat each other well. But i have some things to look up about myself here that with my recent health improvements has me re-remembering some things about my time in FPN so far. I hope to get on and learn about fountain penning again or re-remembering what i know. Hope to interact soon with yous...

My re-remembering of my fountain pen journey began when i was a teenager just getting into a second attempt at high school. I believe i tapped about it on FPN some time ago and maybe recently (i might have made a chatter post about it but my re-learning the FPN stuff has been slow. And i don't really want to repeat something i said in the recent past.

 

But i did have a demonstrator flea market FP many many years ago, a Lamy Safari, twsbi ECO, a bunch of shark looking and different colored sharks and i also thanks to my people got a Pilot Vanishing Point Decimo. All of which were my favorites. The PVPD was my newest favorite one (i try not place things as a best or better thing because my wants or needs are different).

 

My small ink collection has Diamine Oxblood, Troublemaker and a ink brand and name from another USA ink brand and is a permenant(sp?) type of ink. All have been used and appear to be ok to be able to use again.

 

I am sorry to you FPNers who have read my story already, i will re-learn FPN and the rules again and soon.

do you have local pen and paper stores to browse through and get ideas and buy cheap stuff and prepare for a major purchase?

 

grateful i have a handful of them within a half mile of work and home.

The closest to a fountain pen type store is maybe an office big box type store. But i unfortunately and fortunately have time to relearn all my memories and my addiction i have been re-remembering. So a fountain pen is not needed yet mostly wanted though. Whether it's a Varsity (ballpoint type FP, i believe) or any other FP. I have been re-remembering a cheap FP i got from a flea market vendor many moons ago.
