There is a parking lot located (in yellow below) at the corner of Speedway and 40th Street across the street from the church (in red below). To enter, walk through the unlocked gate (circled in red in the street view image), then the walkway goes directly to the door. The doors must remain locked so if you arrive early or late (or are lost) please text Angela at 512-809-8720.

Hi, I'm interested in coming out to this. Is it still every second Saturday, meaning that the next one is March 8th at 1 pm at Trinity Church of Austin?

At what time do you typically do the sell, trade, give away? I would need to leave at 3 pm for a standing commitment. I am most wanting to try out different fountain pens - see how they feel in my hand, what the nibs are like, how they write... I have a Lamy AL-Star, so nothing very exciting, but am thinking of something larger capacity, like a TWSBI Diamond 580 or Mini, TWSBI Vac mini, or Pilot Custom 823. Or something better recommended by someone here!

Hey Stephen!

We usually sell and trade after the meeting, but we also visit before the meeting as well. Come on by - it is a great time. A few folks start getting there around 1230 or so. The meeting is Next Saturday, 3/8, 1-3:30pm at Trinity Church of Austin in the Community Hall 4001 Speedway Austin, TX 78751. I will pm you my phone number if you have any questions!

See you Saturday!

David

Yes!  The Austin Pen Club meets every second Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM at Trinity Church of Austin (in the Community Hall), 4001 Speedway, Austin, TX 78751, across the street from Hyde Park Baptist Church. Many come a little early to visit and compare pens, inks, journals and other items of interest and to get to know each other while the Board is meeting before the general gathering. There is a  parking lot located  at the corner of Speedway and 40th Street across the street from the church that you can park in. There will be some "APC" signs in the parking lot and in front of the Church to designate the correct parking lot. IF Hyde Park Baptist Church is having an event, be sure not to park in their parking lot as they need it for their event,

To enter the building, walk through the unlocked gate, then the walkway leads directly to the door.  The doors must remain locked so there will be a doorbell to ring. Someone will come and admit you.  if you are looking for something to do before or after the meeting., Trinity Church is also located about 1.5  miles from The Paper Place on N. Lamar in the Central Market shopping center, which is probably the best store in Austin for pens, ink, stationery and related products

Here is a link to the directions to Trinity Church of Austin. I hope that you can make it in June! It really is a lot of fun and we have some nationally known pengineers  in our group with a lot of knowledge and experience. It is also a really great group of folks! Please feel free to message me with any questions that you have.

Take care,

David
