Hmmm.  Like the colors of the pen barrels/caps, but am not that keen on the sections and trim colors.
I suspect that I will wait until I can see them in person, but not sure that even then I'd be going, "MUST HAAAAAAVE!"

Hmmm.   That's not a color I'd equate with "scarlet"....

This is one I'd have to see in person.  The link makes it look a little redder in tone than my first Safari -- the 2016 Dark Lilac SE.  So I suspect I'd likely pass on it....  But I would be interested in seeing a side by side comparison of them once this one is released....

My wife thought it looked deep purple or even a little brown. Agreed that this isn't what I think of when someone says scarlet.

I was thinking along the same lines as your wife... especially the "brown" part.

I spotted this on instagram yesterday and I like the color a lot.

I really like matching pens to ink and I believe I can find a few that would pair up nicely.

Personally, I would have called that colour 'Burgundy' or 'Claret'.

I likes it 😊

There is no sign (yet?) of it being available here in Inglistan.

I don’t care what a company names a color, only if I like the color or not.
(Remember the “amber” 2000?)

I like the new color of this Safari.

That Safari is almost maroon, but it is a cabernet sauvignon color. It certainly isn't crimson. I like the color.

I saw pictures of those new safaris a week ago, or a bit more. My local dealer had been to Lamy in Germany. I think they are ugly because of those color combinations. Someone is taking too many shrooms.

False alarm. Scarlet is apparently a new regular color according to a video Goulet put out earlier today.

And also (now) according to Lamy's website for the UK market!

I like the Scarlet and I'm pleased that Lamy is expanding the color palette of dark colors with black clips.  If you put the Scarlet next to some other releases of the past few years - the Dark Lilac, the Petrol, the Steel Black, and the Umbra in the regular color line, it fills a place and fits right in.

Agreed. In general, I like the coated clips over the stainless/chrome clips.

Also, I see a couple of new coming soon lamy inks at Goulet now but no indication if they're special edition or normal and no coming soon pens.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
