Majohn V60 - Omage to Omas?

Majohn returns with a triangular shaped piston filler, two trims options, EF.F, and an option for a Schimdt rollerball option. Depending on your selected trim, nib, or pen option, this is a $21-23 pen on Majohn's flaghsip Taobao storefront. The independent sellers are already doubling the price so it will always come down to what someone is willing to pay for a new release or whether a buyer has the patience to wait for the initial FOMO pricing to subside.

Happy Hunting.

Passable effort.

Wake me up when they offer a gold nib comparable to the OMAS original, both in shape (they've obviously botched that) and performance, complete with the characteristic ebonite feed. They should also have paid a little more attention to the clip (width, curvature) and trims (they've missed one ring on the cap and on the section) 😛

(...also the iconic "peg" which secures the blind cap to the piston mechanism)

Something of interest that the photos demonstrate: Majohn is putting the ballpoint version right up there with the fountain pen. Most of the time with Japanese fountain pens, you never see the pencil, RB, or BP in the advertising and I assume the same is true with Chinese makers, if they do offer other writing instruments in the same design/finish.

Got some with and M and Stub version.   Great nibs.  Where can I get more of these nibs?  I cannot leave them from my hands.   The key slots for the nib are smaller than the ones from P136 and MB, I tried to insert one and knocked a chip off the pen.  But still it functions great.

The variety of the steel nib seems to have increased. In some colour the "long-knife" is available. Then there is the "hand polished" M nib, which more than doubles the price.

Any FPN friend with experience of the "hand polished" M nib care to comment on the "virtues" of this version vis a vis the usual M nib?

If you are talking about a vendor offering long knife and hand polished options, those are Lemon nibs, substituted for the Moonman nib (they send the original Moonman nib as well, I think). I have a ‘hand polished’ EF and it really is smoother than your average EF. In fact, I have a nice Lemon EF that’s not as smooth as the ‘hand polished’ although it’s perfectly fine.

I like the smallest size of Lemon’s long knife nibs. But for someone wanting to experience a long knife nib as an easy architect’s point, the Kaigelu long knife nibs are cheap and very easy to get used to.

Many thanks for providing clarity

I received mine just a few days ago and I did exactly the same thing, took a small chip out of the rim of the section just where it meets the nib unit. Given Doug Rathbone’s (Inkquiring Minds on YT) trouble with trying to extract the nib, I decided to leave it alone. The plastic seems so soft, the pen so lightweight. Have to admit I was disappointed with the quality.

Then I found that the pen was just uncomfortable to write with after a while. Not one of my best purchases.
