From a previous post image. Parker 45 Coronet fountain pen and 9mm pencil.

It is hard to distinguish it from the Flighter unless you enlarge the image and check the halo mark on the cap, but when you actually hold it in your hand, you will see that it is a completely different pen.

Coronets are so elegant. I love this set. The Coronet always looks different from the flighters to me, something about the finish- seems pearlescent to me.

I love Gehas! Is that a 700? I’ve only had one scratchy cartridge filler, the others have been fabulous once cleaned up.

It says Scholier (?), looks a lot like a 700, except for the clip and the 14k nib.

@senzen That’s an interesting clip on it, I haven’t seen it before and can’t find the model on my usual Geha model site. Thanks for the new rabbit hole!

Gotta think...

Newest: Pelikan Anthracite Stresemann.

Older:

Wing Sung 601

Parker 51 Special

Is that all?  Man.  I must be lying down on the job.

Wait.  I have that gray Prera, too.  And an Esterbrook that belonged to my mother.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Thank you!  The Stresemann is legit stunning, and the grey Esterbrooks have such beautiful patterns 😻.  The 601 and 51 Special are my favorite kind of pen, the mid century metal cap with a sleek barrel.  The grey Prera is also really cute, and looks to be rather popular on this thread.

Visconti Homo Sapiens is definitely not a black pen, it’s dark gray. For comparison: next to it is a black Omas

Yes, I have borrowed a few and they are all a lava grey,  the texture is so nice! I wish it was a smaller pen. The Omas is also a beauty!

Here are two grey Parkers that were not with the rest of the group. The top is a Navy Grey “51” Special with a Lustraloy cap. I bought it at a barn sale in Vermont for $2 in the mid ‘90s.  The good ol’ days when most pens were sumgai finds. The bottom pen is the one that started it all, my dad’s Olive Grey GT 45 F.  The lighting in the picture makes the colors look different from what they look like in person.

Pilot Prera Slate Gray

Lamy Nexx M Opal Green

Lamy Nexx M Anthracite

Lamy Nexx Coral

I was looking through a notebook, and saw another gray pen I’ve forgotten. It’s a Nemosine Singularity Granite. I need to locate it.

Thanks! :)

Actually, the photo shows a smaller version of Homo Sapiens so-called "Midi" - 13.5 cm in length with a cap (larger version have 145mm), palladium nib #5 (larger have #6) and captive converter filling system (not a vacuum, like the large one). I'm not sure if Visconti makes a smaller version now, I bought mine about 10 years ago.

Oh now I hope I come across one of these smaller versions someday.

Mine is pretty matte, so I considered it, but I had already shown it as part of the metal pen club thread I referenced earlier. The more, the merrier is how I feel about it.

I agree with @senzen, beautiful photo!

  • 2 weeks later...

Jinhao 155 in gray marble, just arrived today.

(Disregard the matte black 95 next to it, which also arrived today.)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
