Hi everyone, I've been trying to contact Peter from the Pen Sac company, I fear he might be ill. Does anyone know please?

Yup, in some spots on line it shows that, but even so, about 6 months ago, I was still able to order from him and the web-site is still there.

I've had r\trouble getting a response from him when I've left a voicemail message. I had better luck contacting him through email. I think I last got an order from him late last year.

I've e-mailed a couple of times. The first one he replied to saying he was in hospital, but there've been no replies after that.  I hate to sound like I'm nagging, but I have a load of pens that need new sacs.  I know I can order them from elsewhere, but it's cheaper going to the source as I assume most sac sellers are getting them from Peter anyway.

Oh thanks Farm Boy, that's good news.  I'm currently visiting SoCal and I was hoping to pop down and collect my order, but if it has to be shipped to me at home, it's no big deal. I hope Peter recovers quickly.

Is he doing better? I heard in the other thread that he was still in the hospital. I was thinking of sending him an email telling him I hope he gets better soon but I don't really know him on any kind of personal level (other than my numerous sac orders) so I wasn't sure if it would be insensitive or something.

  • 2 weeks later...

I got an email from Pete today, and he said it was OK to let people know what's going on.

He tells me that he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome last Thanksgiving.   He didn't offer any more info than that, but now we know.

I have tried contacting him for an order without success. hopefully i can get an order in. Is there an updated list on sac suppliers? i have seen one...but nothing like the comprehensive list that pensacs has.

Peter is recovering from an illness.  He has been unable to move unassisted and mostly stuck in a care facility. He is slowly improving but it will be a while before he is back at home.  We moved most of the inventory to my shop and I’m helping him fill orders. If you email me I can process orders easier than if you use the web form. Peter can not always access his email so orders on the website don’t always get to me.  Peter forwarded 100s of emails and I’m working through them as quickly as possible.

eandeinc at gmail dot com or Eberspacher at the same.

I can set up the order form, just include your full address/phone number and what you want and I’ll get it going.

I have stock on all but some of the “limited stock” items. There is no sac shortage and I am trying to process the uncut and unsized sacs from the last run as quickly as I can…one really needs the machine that puts the little bead in the diaphragm…

If anyone wants to contact Todd directly, he gave me permission to give out his email address.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
