Delta Pens

I now have a Delta Dolce Vita and I find it smoother than my Omas 360. I just love the fact it's a CC and the colour is a delight.

Deltas are smooth writers, but I find the orange barrel colour not to my taste. The oversize model is trying to copy the MB 149 to a certain extent, certainly in the nib style. I guess the intention is to present the pen as an alternative to the 149, but the best 149 substitute, in my opinion, is the Sailor King of Pen.

Thanks for the suggestions on how to deal with my "chewy" Delta DV nib. I also contacted Clara (in repair) at the Yafa office, who suggested I get some extra fine sandpaper and then "draw the nib across it," first to the left, then to the right. If this doesn't fix it, then repeat this procedure. I told Clara it made me nervous to attempt this (what if I over-draw and screw up the nib?), and she said no big deal. Because she'd authorized my doing this procedure, all I had to do was send it to her (with a letter) and she'd take care of the rest.

 

She was very easy to speak with, and very accommodating. We also had a talk about other Delta pens--she waxed poetic about the Dolcevita Palillon and the Israel 60. I couldn't wax poetic, but I told her I'd seen pictures

 

Anyway, this is a big thumbs up for how Yafa/Delta handles customer's problems/questions.
