I just discovered these on Teranishi's website, a new line of inks celebrating Mt. Fuji. The 12 mL bottles are priced at 1100 JPY each ($7.64 USD at the current exchange rate).

I'm in for "Zen", "Rin" and "Akane", provided they are not dry and unlubricated inks. The bottles look a bit like the mini J. Herbin bottles!

oh I will have to test them out.
Funny that the box looks huge but the ink bottle is tiny ! haha
I love that yellow/mustard tone of Sai.

@amper After taking a peek at the link, I can see myself using Rin (i'd love to see a side by side with some of the other purple inks I have -- in particular MB Jimi Hendrix) and maybe San.  Sakura is a maybe (but looks similar to Edelstein Rose Quartz, which of course I already have, and will likely not use up anytime soon).

The other three I can pass on....  But thanks for posting the link.

Thank you for sharing. I was immediately drawn to Akane.  I then went shopping in my own collection and found a bottle of Akane from another company.

Thank you @Penguincollector and @Misfit for encouraging such shopping.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Thank you @amper for starting this thread and alerted me for this ink series.
I have not seen any particular promotions in the FP stores I frequent.
I got the Sai and Sakura.
I have to say, Sakura is amazing ! it is not too sweet, but not too muted like Opera rose. I think that will be my official ink color for coming Sakura season !

Sai is rather "ordinary" from my brief testing. Great shading though.

My next target will be Rin.
The cheapest price I see is in Rakuten, roughly 869-880 yen( free local shipping for purchase over JPY 3980)  per bottle (12ml) .
I think it is a good deal to test out Teranishi without buying a big bottle.

Teranishi is wonderful. I picked up some Saishiki (blue) Ink in Yokohama. I later got some more from St. Louis Art Supply. I don;t know this line, but it's gorgeous ink in a very affordable small bottle.

@Prof Drew

Yes, I have been eyeing that series as well. I wonder if they could be mixed since they are practically the base colors.

Teranishi is way too low-key imo. I will see if I can find them in the coming stationery events and talk with them. Their products are so much better than a lot of "hyped" Japanese inks

@Particular_Song3539

Thanks. I agree that Teranishi could do more with marketing, although part of the charm and excitement was the cute small bottle from "Teranishi Chemical Industries." I didn't have high expectations, but only wanted an inexpensive ink bottle from Loft. I was very impressed. You are lucky to live in a place with so many choices for inks, as long as one doesn't get overwhelmed by the 'ink numa."
