I just grabbed this TWSBI Eco Heat with a fine nib and a bottle of Diamine Blood Orange ink.

I typically like medium and stub nibs, but this Eco with a fine nib writes very well. It is smooth for a fine. I also like pens with more girth, but I am enjoying this one, surprisingly. It writes well for me and is well balanced. I had no issues filling and it got full on the first try.

The ink is interesting. The 150 years Anniversary Diamine Blood Orange looks a bit orangish reddish in the pen, but it writes a dark red on the brownish side. It is a nice ink.

Oooo.  I like both colors!

Me too. I think the ink goes surprisingly well with the pen color. It wasn't intentional. I wanted the pen and I wanted the ink. Red-orange ink and a bright orange pen turned out to be quite alright.

The question is, what orange is the pen? It isn't TN orange, nor TX, nor Clemson. 🤔

I have the Sunset Orange that was a Japan-only release. Mine has had Lamy Neon Coral and Diamine Pumpkin ink, no staining. I put Edelstein Star Ruby and Iroshizuku Yama Budo in an Eco, and no staining.

I have that Diamine Blood Orange ink. If yours does well with it @Doc Dan, I might try that next.

It does well and is dark enough when writing. As you know, it is a deep red-orange (not orange-red).
