Did you get one? I’m a bit nervous as it’s coming from Amazon Japan if there’s a need to return it or I’m not happy with it for some reason.

No, this pen doesn't interest me (demonstrator).  I once had the wrong item delivered by the third party seller Amazon Japan and I simply was told to contact amazon.com, which handled it.  If it is simply that you decide that you don't like the pen, I don't know what your options would be.  I've only ordered items I knew I wanted.

It says sold and shipped by Amazon Japan. I was just in a chat and they said the normal 30 days would apply similar to the U.S. in my case.

Make sure you save the chat!  I have ordered many, many things from Amazon Japan, bot on their web site and as a third party seller on amazon.com & I have never had any problems.

Something is wrong in the FP land. 

 

Amazon US:    $480 ~ 74000 Yen

Amazon JP:                  79000 Yen

Rakuten:              from 75000 Yen

MRSP:                          121000 Yen

 

1) One should expect that Amazon JP is cheaper in JP than in the US (shipping).

2) Wonder how much reduction these sellers get that they can offer 40% reduction from the MRSP. No, I only wonder where it is between 50 and 70%.

Normally, I look at the sales in ink and choose from this.  At at 8% discount, you will drive the Sailor KOP down about $32 and I look at the inks under $16. However, you need to reman in Amazon Japans section follow this link or look for link on the KOP page https://www.amazon.com/sp?ie=UTF8&seller=A3GZEOQINOCL0Y&asin=B09MVGWD5P&ref_=dp_merchant_link    from there type in fountain pen link and sort for "Fountain pen ink."   You will pay about the same overall, but you will have two bottles of inks.

I hope everyone who wanted the Sailor KOP got one at the $400 price point. The KOP is solidly over $800 now on Amazon Japan. Their prices shot up to a point where that is not even worth checking the prices anymore!

$471 including shipping when I look (amazon.co.jp).  But I'm not in the US.

Well, I got mine for $295 In January, 2024.

 

Being in the U.S. it looks like it will be a while before I buy from outside of the country for a while.
