Montblanc Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson

Not a review! But some sample pictures of the Montblanc Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson special edition ink.

I had been looking at MB's special editions for a while... because I just love the bottles. They're perfect. But being well equipped in blues and reds I hadn't bought anything until this one.

I wasn't too sure what to expect, but it looks great. It's a golden brown, with medium flow, that looks fantastic on off-white / ivory paper. Pictures below make it look darker than it is. The writing is with a Yard-O-Led Fine (wet), on Midori paper.

Thanks for this no review @Arsouille  The colour looks really nice :)

Le texte est de qui?

Thanks! "Aboli bibelot..." bit is Mallarmé, the rest is Toulet.

Thanks, @Arsouille!  Looks like a great brown - very nice shading. :)

The shading is very nice indeed. It's less interesting when I'm writing in block, where the color is more saturated, but works really well in cursive. It's a great one for letter writing on ivory paper, that looks different but not gimmicky.

Interesting color.  I'd love to see a comparison between it and Edelstein Smoky Quartz and also with Iroshihzuku Yama-guri, since I'm really fond of sepia browns.

It's actually closer to a KWZ Honey, though probably not quite as light. I couldn't get a picture that reflected that.

Interesting.  I have some KWZI (New) Honey.  I'll have to go back through my tester notebooks and see what I thought of that ink....

Thanks for the clarification.

👍 nice penmanship.

Thank you!

Years of having to write in cursive in school, inside the constraints of French-lined Clairefontaine paper.

Oh, sorry, @Arsouille, for recognising your nice ink review and your beautiful handwriting so late. Well done!

This is a well behaving ink which reminds me at KWZ Honey, in colour as well as in the shading property.

One life!

The shade is incredible for personal correspondence.

.

Completely agree. It's become my go-to for correspondence. I use it on off-white Midori sheets, which works well with the ink color. The shading is also perfect: strong enough to add real character, but not so strong that it makes the reading harder or distracts from it.

Another late response, handsome pensmanship and a lovely brown ink. Perfect for writing letters.

Very much like Lamy Crystal Topaz ink which is my daily user.
