Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Nemosine Pleiades Blue/Black

This is review #247 in my series. Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: Cleaning was easy with plain water, but did require a few extra flushes because the dye is quite concentrated.  The microscope smear was boring as can be with one blue and one black dye (apparently).

Errata: "the traveled" should be "they traveled".

Zoomed in photo (A bit too purple-leaning.)

Screenshot (Text is too dark and desaturated (more blue should show).)

Scan of Completed Review (This is the most accurate color.)

Absorbent Paper Close-up (top is puzzle paper like thick newsprint, bottom is old 20lb copy paper) (Both seem a little too purple to me.)

Line width (One of the lines used for dry time. Magnification is 100x. The grid is 100x100µm. The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each. The line width for this ink is roughly 300µm. With 247 inks measured, the average line width is 296µm.)

Another excellent Tuesday review

What happened to the orange crud or the Earl?

I love the quote, so many times, I've seen people using quotes to prove their "erroneous" ideas right :D

Looking forward to next week! Onwards!

New to me and unobtainium.  What could go wrong?  🤣

Though I probably have a comparison ink, Diamine Denim…. No, wait, that's Chesterfield Denim.

Does the Castle look like a Faber?  😉

Thanks once again, @LizEF, for making our Tuedays special.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

In last week's episode, Quin escaped the orange field and the Earl was still on the other side of it (meaning he had not entered the field).  One is supposed to assume the Earl knows better than to enter said orange field - he would get crusted over. (So, the orange field saved them from the Earl, and with Makhabesh's help and Quin's failing enchantment, Quin escaped the orange field as well.)  Also last week, Essri directed us toward a "mount rising not far away", with Quin's dialog and behavior suggesting they needed to hurry toward said mount.  Thus, today's episode accomplishes his goal...  Now we must climb to the ruins atop the mountain, and then, presumably, descend to the Source.

:D  I expect half the "quotes" I've used were either wrong or misattributed.  (Most of these quotes - including this one - I just pull off the internet and don't bother trying to find out whether they're legit.)

:lticaptd:Part of me says not to review the unobtainium ones, but they're labeled as such in the poll, and people still vote for them, so....

 <goes to dictionary> Not from any definition I could find...

Thanks! Now I get so the orange was a blessing in disguise :D

Thank you @LizEF for the always entertaining ink review!

I would buy this ink, but not for its colour, only for its name and if I would get a sine Nemo together with it! ;) :)

PS: Is the verde mountain close to the grappa? 😇

One life!

The location of Verde Mountain has yet to be revealed, but since Mount Grappa was described as "a lone mount", I guess Verde isn't too close. ;)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
