Pilot WA (Waverly) nib: Difference between #10 WA and #15 WA?

Hi guys,

I have been recommended those nibs and am wondering which size to get it in. I have the Pilot FA nibs in #10 and #15, and they are so different they shouldn't even have the same name (love them both though). The smaller one is very soft and the #15 takes a lot of pressure to flex.

So I wonder if this is the same with the waverly nibs.  Are they different in feel?

#10 can he had somewhat cheaper, but I like the bigger pens and thus would be interested in the #15.

What did you decide to get?

I have the both the Pilot 742 and 743 with the waverly nib. I bought the smaller 742 first and love it. The line width for me is perfect, it’s a wet writer (Diamine ink) and became my favorite pen. Because it’s perfect, I felt like I have to have the larger 743 in case all the waverly nibs disappeared in the world!
The feel is different for sure. I have to test the 743 with the same Diamine ink to adequately compare but so far, I still love my 742 more with the smaller nib.

Hi @Eliza Law, sorry, I overlooked your response.

I got sidetracked and now I have a Pilot Custom Urushi on the way - in B, with a FM replacement nib included, how cool is that?

But this rather big investment has kept me from pursuing the WA nibs for now.

How would you say the two nibs are different? What does the WA nibs give you in comparison to normal Pilot nibs?

I have two regular Pilot pens (823 with M and 845 with FM nibs, and now the Custom Urushi, too). So I wonder what I'd gain from a WA nib. I am left-handed, but have no problem writing with the regular nibs.
