The Pelikan Barbie :) is nice looking, but I am not buying anything lately (already have way too many pens).

So, I'll pass.

I don't normally go for the pink stuff, but I like this pen. However, I'll be putting a more legible ink than Rose Quartz in it!

...I like the fact that it's a relatively cold pink - if Barbie was the Ice Queen 🙂

Yes, not a thick, Pepto-Bismal pink, but a cool, clear, refreshing pink.

This really calls my name. Why are they so damn expensive?

But I do have a shop where I live and they have Pelikan pens at really good prices. They have some m200 special editions for around 75$. Let's hope they stock this one too. Otherwise I don't think I will be willing to buy it for 125-150$ as it goes in the rest of the places. You can get a gold nib Sailor or Pilot for that price. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Wow. special editions at $75? If they have the apatite, I want one! 🙂 Hoping you will get your Rose Quartz too.

I just checked. Sadly only the Olivine and Star Ruby are at that price. The last one launched, white and pale blue one, they have it listed for 200$. It might be they want to get rid of those old editions. For 250$ I can get 2 Pro gear slim with gold nibs, or a Pro Gear Slim and a Pilot Elite. Pelikan really wants to be like MB.

I just ordered one. I had said no more pens because I have over two hundred, but couldn't resist this one. I am a woman but I usually go for more masculine pens, particularly in black or blue. But this one called me, and I am answering😊

Ackh. Another candy coloured Pelikan. I can live happily without the whole bunch of them. 🙈

Those Olivine and Star Ruby at 75 dollars are very good prices. I would buy the Ruby without doubt, and maybe the Olivine too.

I did buy these, and we are missing a kicking boot smilie.... some 12 years ago,  I didn't spend the full flea market pen's money at the flea market on old Pelikan cartridges.

Back in the W.Germany time, pre'90 Pelikan made a huge amount of 4001 inks, including a rose....but I gave that then missing one cartridge to Amber for distribution. A bit too girly from me...back in the late '50-early '60's boys could only use; blue, blue-black and black.

I've not used black in ages, and somehow have more blue-black inks than I use....but the 4001 Rose, Lilac and Pink...found a new home.

The two grays and the orange were great.

  • 3 weeks later...

In I have the Aquamarine, and the Ruby Red...I don't need that color. Don't care for pink anyway....but there are ladies that might,

I do like my Pastel Blue.

I do have a couple W.Germany 200's and one or two '91-2015 regular 200's.

I really like it.

@Charles Rice, I am thinking of you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Have you received one of the pens ?  Photos ?

No, I have not received a pink pen, and I did go looking at my favorite online retailers, but didn't not see it offered.

As for the callout, Charles and I have a running joke about pink ink.  I think a pink pen would be great for adding to our joke.  Though Mrs. Rice does use pink ink and might like a pink pen.

Ah.  The last I heard from a pen dealer, this pen release was delayed into later in the autumn.

You had my pulse running just a bit faster in anticipation.  <arched eyebrow>

This does not make me happy. Has anyone else heard this?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
