I looked it up on Nippon Paper’s website and that’s one I didn’t get in the sampler; there’s also a b7 light that I haven’t even seen for sale yet.

The Jetpens b7 paper is close to Iroful in hue.  Maybe the b7 is brighter?

To my eye, something like Tomoe River 68gsm and Cosmo Air Snow are quite white, whereas b7 and Iroful are both more of a cream color.

That it's not as bright as Cosmo Snow, is the only thing I don't care for about Iroful....  I keep hoping that they will come out with a "bright" version.  I hope b7 is no darker than Iroful.  🙏

Yeah... I filled that Sailor 1911L via a refilled cartridge rather than a converter.  This example comes at the tail end of the ink in the cartridge and the little that's left has become concentrated.  Normally, Yamabuki is one of my best outline inks.

It’s absolutely gorgeous when it’s so concentrated. I love it when it outlines, but this is very nice.

Here's the raw pic of concentrated Yamabuki.  It looks like paint.

It reminds me of gel pens.

Hi RP

It does look like it was baked on....  😀👍

I don't think I've seen another ink look this thick except maybe Monteverde Fire Opal, but not to this extent...

The ink has been in the 1911L for about a year and I'm pretty sure I added ink to the cartridge somewhere along the line.

I might try this with a suoer sheener and see what happens. I just have to resist using it for awhile.

It looks almost like puffy paint as well. I like it.

The only problem is the sheen is so strong you can barely see the letters in direct light... ☹️

That would look awesome on one of my coloring sheets.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
