Need help identifying this Sheaffer!

Hi everyone,

 

found this one at a local flee market, I think for 20euros it was a bargain!  It was already clean and it started writing beautifully right away.

I think it's some sort of Imperial model but I'm not sure, what do you think?

I think it may be one of the the Triumph 2444 series.  It's just I thought the nib on those were stainless. I know around the late 60's they changed the nib from "Sheaffer's" to "Sheaffer" so yours may have been swapped out for gold version. Looks good though.

Without seeing the clip, it looks like a 444X sometimes shown as 444XG.

 

The 2444 was from the 1990s Triumph Imperial series, and they had long diamond gold plated nibs. These "v-inlay" nibs are seen in both 14k, gold plated, and steel.

We have new old stock 440XG pens, that's the same model only with a colored barrel.
