Gold or steel?

Available in both. In terms of pricing, no other giant gold nib comes close.

You can get the Kanwrite pen with this giant gold nib for roughly around 210$ here in India.

Truly a big nib. Take that X159! Wonder if Gem and Co may consider selling the nib that is hanging in their store. :)

Regardless  This is probably the largest nib in current production. If you know of a bigger nib, pls tell me.

Wow, that is a huge nib! Just calling it a #9 doesn't do it justice. It needs a nickname. How about the "Kanwrite Golden Mammoth" nib?

“ mammoth” is already taken. The pen this comes in is called the Mammoth.

Maybe the Tohma 55 and the 100 size nibs from Kubo are larger, though certainly not as affordable.

If you want less blah, blah, blah and more pictures, follow me on Instagram!

Here is an old post with some good pics. The Tohma is on the right of the loose nibs.

Try this for the Kubo 100 or do a Google search for a pic of the nib next to a 149.

Posting freakmans image for reference. That’s an amazing post👍 The Namiki no 50 is about 42-43 mm long. The tohma looks like 45mm.

I am planning to buy Kanwrite Mammoth with this #9 Gold nib. Do you own one? How has been your experience? Is the writing performance comparable to Pilot Custom Urushi or Namiki Emperor?

You are not going to get Namiki emperor experience in Mammoth price range. It’s a decent writer.

No, I never bought one. The design just never appealed to me. Not a fan of too large nibs either. Others here can better guide you about the writing experience.
