Agreed, the Opus Jazz looks similar to the Masterpiece Grande too (also, ever translate Masterpiece to German? pic related.)

It looks like a very generic pen

Doesn't mean anything bad. it just means that the shape is synonymous with "pen" at this point. Seems right that they offer a standard looking pen along with the V169, which is anything but standard, and the two unusual piston fillers

This is a very well made vacuum filler.

 

The shut off valve seals and drops into place. The 699 does also but this one really looks and so far performs like they paid attention to that detail.

 

I tried to swap the factory #6 with a FPR stub but the FPR wings are too big. I will search for alternatives.  The F and M write well out of the box but i want some variety with a B and 1.1. 

 

The gold is annoying but hopefully it's a popular pen and we get some silver trim in the future.
