How do you carry your fountain pen outside of your home or office?

It seems as rare as somehow getting ketchup on your clothes.

Challenge accepted. Do not underestimate my ability to slop condiments on my attire.

TBPH, ever since this thread started, I've been thinking about getting a new pen case. Probably something like my old Pelikan 2-pen leather case, but not Pelikan, because these days, I mostly use TWSBI pens. I might try that $10 one on Amazon, from Daimay? It seems a bit rustic, but workable. I guess I'd need the larger one to fit two ECOs.

Outside of work, I usually strut around in jeans and a t-shirt or blouse and only carry around purses if the situation forces me to, so usually I clip it to the left side of my t-shirt with the pen inside showing only the clip, or to my left belt loop.  If it is a skinny inexpensive pen I usually just stick it behind my ear, in my back jeans pocket, or in my hair.

I have a Kaweco knocking around in my purse.

Here's my current EDC. It's a repurposed knitting needle case. Two Pelikans, a Lamy, a Preppy, all with different inks. And since I'm about to start a pair of socks with new-to-me yarn I added three different sizes of knitting needles. Plus a notepad.

I made a simple, well-padded, mini pen case that holds a Kaweco Sport fountain pen and rollerball ball, plus a Kaweco Special Short mechanical pen. It's less than A6 size and fits in the side pocket of my cross-body bag along with an A6-landscape sketchbook. (I made the sketchbook by buying an A5 and lopping it in half with a guillotine. That's two for the price of one! )

Will work for pens...
