Oh, thanks for the reminder!  I still need to make hotel reservations for that weekend!  Gonna try and stay at the place I was at last year (just a couple of blocks away from the site hotel, but less expensive, and also within walking distance of the kabob place someone on FPN recommended -- I got enough food out of a single order to have leftovers for the next night!

Hi all,

We will attend Saturday and Sunday.

Also hope to check out local restaurants as the hotel food in 2022 wasn't as good as during an earlier visit.

Craig

I'll have two tables at Baltimore and hope everyone will stop by and say hello.  I plan to have there:

  • more than 80 Nakayas including a dozen Dorsal Fins
  • an additional selection of Nakayas in discontinued finishes including Ao Tamenuri and others
  • seven Montblanc Writers Editions including Hemingway, Agatha Christie, Poe, and others
  • three Classic Pens in Diffusion Bonded Flame Red and two in solid sterling silver
  • a half dozen highly collectible  Sailor King of Pens

and lots more.  I'm sure looking forward to seeing lots of old friends plus meeting new ones.  Hope to see you there!

Well, I now have my hotel reservation (at the place I stayed last year, about two blocks away or so), and last night my husband printed off my pre-reg ticket for for me.  So now over the next few weeks have to figure out the route (and what antiques places to check out en route and back); last night I did a quick search to see what BJ's Warehouse Clubs with gas stations at them are along the way and also what ones are in the Baltimore area.  And then have to figure out what pens to bring to be looked over/repaired, and what ones to bring to write with and such like that....

And of course sweating out the weather....  The first time I went to the Baltimore Show, when it was down in the Inner Harbor, I pulled up to my hotel in pouring rain and was told I couldn't unload under the awning because "That's for VALET parking!" 🤬  And for which the button on the phone in my room didn't work when I went to check out....

Rats :(  I would love to come. Back in my youngling/early padawan days I spent quite a lot of time in Baltimore with my former master. I’ve been hoping to go back ever since. Unfortunately that weekend doesn’t work for me at all 🙁. Say hello to interstate 695 for me, and with any luck I’ll join y’all next year.

If your car has them, make sure to change your timing belts every 80-100,000 miles. (Or shorter if specified in the manual)

I'll be there for sure. Please stop by my table for info on how to join the Pen Collectors of America.
I will be showing an extensive array of Sheaffer plunger-fillers including a full color selection of Balance oversizes and many Minuskin-stubbed Triumph nibs.
Cheers,
Gerry Berg

I will stop by.  I have an old Sheaffer demonstrator jar/barrel that might interest you.

I spent some time last week looking over the list of vendors and (when possible) going to their websites to see what they carried.

Most of my budget is going tor repairs on pens I've picked up here and there over the past couple of years; and maybe some ink (I know, I know -- like I REALLY need more) but will also be looking to see what impulse buys might happen to present themselves at prices I can't afford to pass up.

And of course it will be good to say hi to folks I know, and also to meet new people.

I wish I was able to go! When I lived in the area, the Baltimore Pen Show was my favorite to attend.

Unfortunately, I've left the military and resettled in Oklahoma City, so I'll just have to hold out for a convenient regional show.

There's the Arkansas show the week after Baltimore.

I got email to that effect, but couldn't figure out how to fill out some of the reservation page stuff.  Sent off questions but haven't had a chance to check to see if I've gotten email back yet (it's been a fairly crazy day).
