My Rouge de Caroubier ihas a hard time coming out of my pen. First ink I have come across like this. I have to press like with a regular pen to get decent flow. It barely writes comes just short of skipping.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Are all Herbin 350th Anniversary inks like this?

A quick search indicates that this is one of the standard Herbin line, which would generally mean that it isn't super saturated like their premium or Anniversary lines tend to be. This would also seem to suggest that it is more dry. Looking at this review:

J. Herbin Rouge Caroubier: Ink Review – Goulet Pens Blog

It seems to me that the ink writes a pretty dry line and would show up fairly light on the page with many dry or normal writing pens. If that's the case, it may feel even drier than expected if you wanted a more saturated color.

Outside of that, you may also want to check to ensure that there is no obstruction in the nib such as a stray fiber. With inks like this, I have found that even a single little speck in the nib slit can cause these inks to be much less free flowing from a nib that isn't tuned to be very wet.

I found it to be a dry ink, but @InesF has a table of ink wetness.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
