@awa54 requested that I pull this ink out and do a quick review.

Here is a perhaps better look at the color:

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I did find a tiny bit of sheen when I doodled with the ink on TR paper. This ink is NOT a sheeny ink. The Rat Snake ink from Bookbinders (thank you, @kestrel), shows up as red on this scan, but it is a beautiful ORANGE!

The ink is vibrant and overall well behaved.

Now that it is in in use, I am quite happy with the ink. It is vibrant and well behaved. I will test for water resistance later.

Here is a comparison from Anderson Pens.

Just in case it helps, this is the Slovenian version (Red) from 2017 next to the new one (Inferno) from last year.

There's not much between them in writing, but when swabbed, I think the new version is slightly more orange.

In the Anderson Pens comparison I'd have said it's simply a bit (/significantly) lighter than the slovenian Skrip Red.

But in your swab it does indeed seem to have a bit of an orange touch - which fits pretty well for an ink called 'Inferno' imo 🙂

David-
