Congrats.... I have five of his pens and really like them.

Me too.

Townsend- dark purple ripple ebonite

Elizabethan - don't recall material name, although the body and cap are black, section and cap finial in something different

Majestic- brown Tortoise

Majestic-"urban offroad"

I'll have to take a pic of all four once the new one arrives.

I ordered a Diplomat Viper for 20% off at Atlas a few days ago and today a Montagrappa Elmo 01 stonewash gray for $150. Over the years I've thought about an Elmo and the "low" price finally got me. Not so sure about the Viper but reviews say it doesn't dry out and the grip isn't slippery, but what is fine to some is slippery to me so it might go back.

I’m waiting on a Jinhao 10 capless that looks like the limited edition seashore Pilot VP. It’s going to be a Christmas present.

I wasn't interested in the Slytherin SE, but am really considering the Ravenclaw SE, and possibly the Gryffindor one (the Hufflepuff pen I'd have to see in person to decide if I like the color, or if it's actually too yellow for my taste).

Not sure of holiday plans yet, but if we get to my sister-in-law's, I can walk over to Herald Square and hop on the subway and then walk a few blocks over to the Lamy SoHo store....

I recently bought an Elmo in the Samarkand acrylic with a cursive italic nib-fantastic pen in every way for me.  The writing experience is as good as any pen I’ve written with.  Here’s hoping you  enjoy yours as much as I have.

The Newton arrived yesterday. It's slightly shorter than my other Majestic, even though both are his "small" size.

Here it is along with my other Newton's/it's siblings.  (It's the middle of the three)

I used Walmart Cash, and a promo code I got while trying to find out about pending Walmart Cash from August 2024. I used the chat to try to see why Walmart Cash was pending for 5 months. The response was a team would look into getting my pending cash in 48 hours. Or I could get a promo code for $10 off $15 now. I opted for the promo code. That means the Kaweco Frosted Sport in Lime with BB nib was bought with $20.25 off the price. It ships from Truphae.

Waiting for a burgundy Pilot Decimo with an EF nib I got for my husband.  He had borrowed my grey Decimo a week or so ago, and found he actually liked the size and weight even better than the Vanishing Point he'd been using for several years now.  So went on eBay and found a used one for a reasonable price from a seller in Japan.  It should be shipped in a couple of days.

My grey-striped Pelikan 400, accepted by Posta Italia on 1-21, finally hit US Customs in NY today. It's possible I may get it by the weekend.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
