What pen(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

@ParramattaPaul A British racing green ink would be great with this pen. I have Noodler's forest green, which seems close. But I just put in an order in for Diamine Sherwood green.

Well the B-nibbed Safari "Dark Dusk" SE arrived yesterday afternoon, but I didn't get a chance to post before now.  Even prettier than the photos of it suggested, and I'm really happy with the decision to get one of the black nibs for it.  Got any residual manufacturing oils (and, apparently, a tiny bit of ink ) flushed out last night, but today was so crazy I didn't have a chance to ink it up yet -- that will have to wait till tomorrow....

I do too, but it depends on the pen color whether or not I think I'd like a black nib vs. a normal one.

I’m waiting for a TWSBI 580 Smoke Rose Gold and the Kaweco Sport Ebonit. Yes, I know lots of people think that the Ebonit is stupidly overpriced, but I like the look of it. ☺️ The White Rose Gold 580 arrived today and I looooooove it, looking forward to having its dark, sultry sibling.

Me too! I keep hoping the, ahem, ambitious initial pricing will result in a huge clearance sale on the backlog of unsold units. But I'm not holding my breath. Please let us know what you think of it when it arrives.

Let me know how you like the Kaweco Sport! I've been looking at them as a possible for 1 additional pocket pen, so hearing your thoughts on it would be very helpful and much appreciated.

 

Looking to buy *after* the pen fast (better call it a fast. If I tell myself it's a diet, the internal bargaining will start--"Well, it's just little, after all. It would hardly even count....").

@InkyProf @Pen Ffynnon Regarding the Kaweco Sports, I own four (the Ebonit will be my fifth), I have a Liliput, and three spare Kaweco nibs in M, F and EF. Out of all of those, I’ve only had two duff nibs, all the others wrote straight of the box, no adjustments needed, and they are lovely writers. The two duff nibs (one was a M one was F) were bought years apart and both had the dreaded baby’s bottom. The first one was replaced by the retailer, and I will contact the retailer about the other one, which was only purchased a few days ago. I rediscovered my Sport very recently and found that I love the nib. I’ll definitely let you know what the Ebonit is like when it arrives!

Probably should have mentioned that I got my Ebonit at a 39% discount. It was already on sale at Cult Pens, and I have some loyalty points to redeem, which gave me an additional 20% off. From £300 down to £184. 😁
