the kaweco original looks like a kaweco sport with it's cap permanently posted, at least in my eyes.

Yes, I'd concur with that to a point - except than without posting it's just a bit too short in my hand.

Funny I love the integrated clip but never bother on the Sport

This is a great comparison, @willisoften! It seems that they considered the balance of the pen by reducing the diameter and length of the barrel, and also lengthened the section. Interesting.

I bought the smaller version that takes the same Bock 060 (#5) nibs as the Sport/AL-Sport. I don't like it. It doesn't post. The section is too skinny. The good thing is that it takes the Kaweco calligraphy nibs, but I can't see using it in preference to my AL-Sports. It is thinner than the Sport. I may use it to fit in those pen loops that some small notebook cases have on them.

I was disappointed. Some one may love it, I suppose.

If Kaweco does ever release it, I am positive they will have many interested buyers.🙂

Finally a sighting at 07:53!

👍 Modern Kaweco Piston being tested... shown in this Appelboom Bites video.

If Kaweco can get it in the latest neo Original 250 form factor waay waay down the road after the Sport, I'd be one happy camper

An AL piston filler!

That is great news. I'll have to start saving up for it.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
