Question about Daytone Cerulean Blue ink

Has anyone faced any issues with Daytone inks, especially Cerulean Blue or Royal Blue?

I was looking for a good inexpensive ink for everyday use in my Twsbi Eco. I liked the Daytone Cerulean Blue colour and it is available in stationary stores in my city. But I heard that some Daytone inks may stain the pen. Has anybody experienced this with Daytone Cerulean blue or Royal blue?  Will the ink stain my pen if used for a long period of time?

I don't have any personal experience with daytone inks, but I've seen in a YouTube video(channel name: pentrove) where he explains about the inks, that daytone does stain demonstrators...

Here's that video:

The inks are a little watery and prone to feathering anyways. They might not be all that good for use in a wet pen.

It is unfortunate, as Daytone inks are really affordable, and they would have been great for everyday use.
Can you suggest any other ink?  I have used Camlin and Parker Quink ink before, so wanted to try something else. Have heard that Bril inks are also watery.

What about Krishna inks Lyrebird series?

I have heard Krishna is good. For work purposes I suggest Pilot Blue/ Black/ Blue-Black. Reasonable price /ml and very good water resistance.

Okay, I will check out Pilot inks.

Sorry if this is late. I would highly recommend Waterman inks for general use. I have found them very well behaved and they also bring in some very nice qualities such as sheen on good paper. They are very high value. Pilot is of course good as well and is cheaper but if you can afford about 150-200 Rs more, I would recommend Waterman Serenity Blue as a good one.

I have Krishna Lyrebird Blue and Blue-black. Have been using them for a long time now and they both are very well-behaved inks. I like them.

As mentioned above Waterman inks are also great. I regularly use both Waterman and Krishna inks and recommend both.

I would also recommend Bril Royal Blue ink. To be honest, I prefer it to other costlier options like Waterman. However, unlike Pilot, neither waterman  nor Bril have water resistance. But Waterman just disappears with water.

Bril Royal blue is a well behaved ink. It is deep, dark, does not stain, flows well and unlike waterman is much much less expensive. But I have never seen the sheen in any of the above inks - probably has to do with the paper.

I can assure you Pilot Blue does sheen slightly pink on paper (Classmate) in a wetter pen, and is decently water resistant, to the point where half a day's soak did not affect the readability of the writing.

I also have seen Serenity blue sheen a lot more than Pilot Blue, in a wet pen. However it lacks water resistance.

I haven't tried Krishna, but they do have sheen monsters in their lineup.

For water-resistance Pilot is your best bet, along with the Lyrebird Water series.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
