Yes, that does actually. Many of the "black black" dye-based inks are based on a combination of a dark green/violet dye combination. You can see that in Take Sumi, Aurora, Lamy Black, Noir Abyssal, and even Perle Noire. Inks like Sailor and Platinum Black appear to *only* have a single greyish green dye in them, or something close to that, last I checked. Things like Waterman Black actually have a blue/yellow dye mix.

This is one of the first inks I did chromatography on it, and was shocked to see the yellow - though I suspected it because my attempt to mix it with Inspired Blue yielded green - that might have been what prompted me to do my first chromatography.
